Only from Spyder will you get the XT coating that penetrates fabric in such a way that it forms a honeycomb structure with billions of micropores. These pores are so small that water droplets can't penetrate, but large enough to allow interior moisture through. Spylon is a durable water repellent finish applied to the fabric exterior to prevent the garment from absorbing surface moisture.
